It took my wife, Jennifer, and I just 24 hours on our first visit to decide we wanted to raise our two young children in Brockville and we moved here from the U.K. in early 1980, and have lived, and worked here ever since.
As a member of the business community, I have used my finance and business skills to retain and create manufacturing jobs in the area for the last 38 years, in the process winning national and international awards for excellence in productivity and product quality.
I am deeply connected to our local community through volunteer roles at the College, the Hospital, the Chamber, the Arts Centre, the Children’s Aid Society, the YMCA, to name just a few.
As a past Brockville Councillor, I was proud to spearhead two Provincial and one National Senior Games events in Brockville, the Anchor Attraction Report, and yes, the Public/Private Partnership which resulted in the Aquatarium at Tall Ships Landing.
For most of the past twelve years I have had the great pleasure and privilege to work with a team of very dedicated believers in, and contributors to, the Aquatarium at Tall Ships Landing project, and I look forward during this campaign to answering any and all questions taxpayers may have about this major community investment.
